Committee Meeting

Youth Centre,Patna October 16-17, 2007
A Two-day National Working Groups' meeting was
organised in Patna at Patna Youth Hostel. The
meeting was attended by more then 30 representatives,
representing 25 organisations from ten states,
who deliberated on issues and took important decisions
as detailed below..

Three new working group members were incorporated.
a. Harit Recyclers Association (Proposed by
Ramender)
b. HMKP
c. AICTU, Bihar (subject to confirmation by
them)
State level campaign committees to be constituted
before January 2008; when the next Working
Committee will be convened
Launch a Newsletter: Shashi Pandit, HRA to
take the lead.
Conduct 'MP contact programmes' in all States
during the period November 12-22, 2007
.
Organise National MP meeting (in Delhi) during
the period November 20-24, 2007.
National Action Plan on the first day of Winter
Session of the Parliament.
National Working Committee members to attend
the State level campaign on the National Action
Plan Day.
. On National Action Day, signature campaign
to be done on white cloth to be displayed
in Delhi and other places during major events
.
To constitute a Media Sub-Group from the National
Working Group Members:
a. Santosh Kumar, NIDAN, Coordinator
b. UN Mishra, NIDAN, Member
c. Arun Khote, NCDHR, Member
d. Vijayan, M J, Delhi Forum, Member (subject
to confirmation)
Media Fellowships to two individuals in Delhi
(one each for English and Hindi) and in States.
It was resolved to launch 'Reach 500 districts
campaign' to reach the districts with 'Social
Security Now' messages before 2008 Budget
Session of the Parliament.
